Broker's Comments
Boatshed Norfolk are very pleased to offer this very tidy Broom Ocean 42 for sale. This very original boat has been heavily updated with bow and stern thrusters, new generator, inverter, battery charger, shore power and solar panels. This is a very tidy example and she is very well presented and is in original gelcoat.
She is powered by twin Volvo Penta tamd series engines on shafts and has sleeping arrangements for 7 in 4 cabins. She has a superb aft master cabin with full size island berth and large en-suite heads and shower and vast storage.
Moving forward is the starboard galley that is fully equipped with full size gas cooker, microwave, full size fridge and ample work space and storage lockers.
Stepping up to the large saloon we have amazing visibility from the large windows all of which have external canvas covers. The large L shaped saloon seating converts to a double berth and the lower helm station is situated to port.
Teak cabinetry is everywhere and appears to be in very good order and offers extensive storage locations and a good sized bar unit, and makes the boat feel every inch of the comfort and quality that she is.
Moving forward we find a single cabin to starboard with separate heads and large shower to port. The forward cabin is a vee berth and very large and with ample storage. All the woodwork in this boat appears to be very good and typical Broom quality. The saloon floor opens right up to gain access to the machine spaces. The boat has a very large warm air diesel heating system throughout and a virtually unused generator and recent all new batteries.
Her cockpit is vast with breathtaking views from this elevated position with many seating options and her upper helm is fully equipped with engine and navigation systems and radar etc. She has a folding radar arch and good canopy and also has davits and a 9 foot inflatable and 3.5hp outboard included in the sale.
She has solid full all-round stainless guardrails with integral ender storage and safety chains at access points and her wide safe decks are a pleasure to move around, She has a 1500w electric windlass up front and also a bespoke forward boarding system if moored bows in. Her Boat Safety Certificate runs to November 2027 and she was serviced this summer (2024).
Her Broads toll is paid to March 2025.
This appears to be a very fine example of the Broom Ocean 42 that is very well equipped. This boat has to viewed if you are looking for a large, comfortable cruiser or an amazing floating home.
