Broker's Comments
*THIS BOAT IS NOT SOLD WITH A MOORING. ANY ENQUIRERS MUST DEMONSTRATE THEY HAVE SOMEWHERE TO TAKE THE BOAT BEFORE A VIEWING WILL BE ARRANGED.*
This converted Harbour Launch is now for sale and makes an affordable, characterful liveaboard boat for someone to take on and give a new lease of life. Painstakingly restored over the last five years and used as a houseboat at South Dock Marina, the most recent owners are selling to make space for a new boat on the mooring. The engine has recently been serviced and is now running although has not been used for navigation in a long time.
This former Harbour Service vessel, built in around 1935, has been converted into a fully functioning liveaboard. Originally a steam-powered boat, the space on board is contained within a galley and saloon and three separate cabins offering five berths.
The hull is wooden but has been copper plated to give it extra durability.
It is laid out across two decks with an open plan saloon and galley in the old wheelhouse, a twin cabin and heads at the stern and towards the bow, a double master cabin, a storage cabin, shower and heads compartments that are currently used for storage and a study in the forwards cabin with an attractive butterfly hatch. The boat has a large multifuel stove in the saloon.
Since 2016 the following works have been carried out:
New decks
New stove
New heating system
Refurbished interior
New wheelhouse
Painted externally
New roof and side panels
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
