Broker's Comments
She is a S&S Aqua Lady 38 class cruising/racing yacht. Built essentially as a Swan and marketed as the Aqua Lady 38. The Swan 38 was built by Nautor, and after 1979 the moulds were transferred to a nearby yard and production continued for a few years.
The S&S 38 is an easy boat to sail with wide decks, she handles beautifully on all points of sailing, and can be relied on to make ground to windward in a gale with heavy seas. She is a great all-rounder and is very well behaved going astern for marina manoeuvres.
This boat has benefited from constant investment; she has a new main sail and serviced genoa, modern engine and saildrive, radar and AIS. Some of the equipment is basic but effective. The solar set up and new lithium house battery really makes life more comfortable. She is easily sailed solo, is tough and sturdy but great to sail, old yes but with many positives.
A lot of boat for the money.
