Broker's Comments
This Freeman 26 is presented in original gelcoat and has been sympathetically modified to give a larger galley area.
She has a nice Bailey and stone canopy and Perkins 4108 diesel engine which has not been started as it is winterised. The vendor advises that she runs fine. There is some oil present under the engine but this is not uncommon for the Perkins 4108 engines.
The boat has a hot water system fitted and pipes have been taken to the toilet compartment should a shower be required. The heads compartment has a porta potti and is a good size. The galley has a smev oven with grill and separate hob and basin. She has an electric cool box fridge, currently in the good sized cockpit.
The usual Freeman saloon has been modified to offer a larger galley with larder unit where one bench used to be. The forward cabin offers a large double. She benefits from shore power and a battery charger.
Her BSS runs to June 2023. She would benefit from a good clean and the headlining's being cleaned but would make an economical single or couples boat.
There are a few areas that, to my view, could be improved such as the loo door being rubbed down and re varnished, but the jobs required are small and all cosmetic to my impression of the boat.
If you want a good value diesel Freeman that you can make your own then this economical cruiser may be just the ticket.
