Broker's Comments
The LM 27 is a well regarded, small wheelhouse cruiser. They have a robust build quality and good performance, which provides roomy accommodation and reassuring sea keeping abilities, under both motor and sail. For this size of boat, the cockpit is incredibly spacious, which is a comfortable feature, both at sea and in harbour.
This LM 27 has been well maintained by the current owner, with annual haul-outs, recent standing rigging and a cockpit canopy. Moreover, the prior owner was a marine engineer, which explains the good condition of the boat's engine. When I visited the boat, I was impressed by its volume of accommodation, from the cockpit, through to the forward cabin. The headroom is generous and the interior feels light and airy.
The boat also comes complete with a Sprenkle mast lowering and elevation capability. This boat is therefore a versatile and comfortable cruiser, suitable for canals and rivers, whilst just at home on longer sea passages. With the original solid build, consistent upkeep and recent investment, this boat has the potential for a good deal of reliable, safe, comfortable sailing.
The boat is competitively priced, to encourage a quick sale, as the owner is retiring from sailing.
