The X-46 is developed to a very high and modern standard, Hull and Deck are built in a sandwich construction made up of isolatic polyester resin and biaxial E-glass fabric. Solid laminate is used around keel, rudder and through hull fittings for maximum strength. This amazing vessel also has Teak laid on the cockpit floor, seats, coamings and bathing platform to add to the beautiful finish this vessel has. All X-Yachts have a steel backbone that takes much of the load from the keel, mast and rig, allowing greater rig tension and increased sailing performance from its tall, efficient rig. Underwater, the modern keel shape features a lead bulb on a cast iron fin and a blade rudder with tapered rudderstock to save weight.

Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
In 1979, one of today’s most successful and quality orientated production yards were established in Denmark. During the 1980’s, X-Yachts designed and built winning IOR yachts for World Class Racing. Their success with this market attracted the attention of the cruising market, which was then looking for fast, high quality and comfortable sailing yachts. It seemed very clear to them that they should use their boat building experience from the fast racers and combine this with building high performance cruising yachts.
Much attention has been paid to details on deck to make the X-46 easy to handle. Her cockpit is open and functional with a pleasingly clean layout. Her large wheel allows the helmsman to have a good view of the foresail, yet requires very little effort to steer her through the sea.
All the deck equipment has been specially selected from top market brands, in accordance with the X-46’s superior design and high performance criteria.
